Jason is a successful entrepreneur and international banking executive
with 20 years' experience
bringing cutting-edge, client-driven solutions to life at startups and
the world's largest banks.
Based in New York, Jason is currently the Head of Innovation for J.P.
Morgan's Wholesale Payments
business. Jason leads a global team of product strategists and FinTech
experts who have a passion for
solving emerging client challenges, experimenting with new technologies
and testing future business
models. The WP Innovation team leverages powerful assets within J.P.
Morgan such as our In-Residence
program and Blockchain Center-of-Excellence while engaging externally
with clients and FinTech
partners to accelerate the development of disruptive new products and
services.
Jason began career in the late 1990's at Ecount where he helped grow
the company as a founding
member from a handful of employees with a bold vision to the successful
acquisition by Citi in 2007. At
the time of acquisition, Ecount had grown to over 120 employees,
delivering innovative payment
solutions to nearly 1,000 leading corporations. Post-acquisition, Jason
was offered the opportunity to
launch the Ecount business across the Asia Pacific region and serve as
the Head of Wholesale Cards for
Citi in Hong Kong. In this role, Jason was responsible for the
strategic direction and end-to-end
ownership of two of GTS's fastest growing business lines.
In 2011, Jason joined the GTS leadership team of Bank of America
Merrill Lynch in Asia Pacific as the
Head of Global Cards and Emerging Payments for the region. Jason was
responsible for all aspects of the
Cards and Emerging Payments businesses including strategy, P&L,
sales growth, partnership
management, investment planning and country expansion. In 2014, Jason
returned to the US to form
and lead the Innovation Team for GTS at Bank of America. Jason's team
focused on developing and
commercializing solutions to help clients take advantage of the highly
globalized and digitized economy
by harnessing new technologies, partnering and/or investing in
disruptive companies and incubating
new businesses.
Jason graduated from Bucknell University with a Bachelor of Arts degree
in Political Science. He and his
teams have won multiple awards for innovation and thought leadership
and Jason is a regular speaker at industry events.
